Download the bad copy pro program. Recovering files from a flash drive using the BadCopy Pro RUS utility. What to do if a flash drive or SD card is not detected, that is, the computer does not see the SD card

Hello, friends. We continue our series of reviews of the best programs for resuscitating lost files. This time we will tell you about the free utility badcopy. Badcopy pro 4.10 is an excellent mobile program whose vocation is very high-quality recovery of deleted information. Here, the entire full cycle of file recovery takes place in semi-automatic mode. The user only needs to make a couple of settings, then the program will do everything itself.

Download badcopy pro you need through this page of our portal. Download, install badcopy on your computer and enjoy it for your health. Surely, a pleasant surprise for you will be the fact that the installer also includes a file for Russifying the program. We install the utility on the PC, connect the recoverable storage medium to it and, finally, launch badcopy pro.

As mentioned earlier, for today's test we took version 4.10 of the utility badcopy pro rus . The program menu looks quite ascetic. It is immediately clear that the creators of this software were more interested in its functional capabilities than in its visualization. And this is a very true idea, because users by and large don’t care what a software tool looks like, the main thing is that it works great. In the central block of the utility's working window there is a small plan for recovering deleted files. On the left is the panel for selecting the type of disk to be restored. Of the six options, you are sure to find yours. This time we need to check the operation of the program using a USB flash drive as an example, so click on the “Flash Drive and Zip Disk” button.

The remote data media type has been selected, now we need to tell the program the volume of our disk device. This can be done at the top of the next window. If you are unable to find the drive you are looking for in the drop-down list, we recommend updating this list. In the paragraph located just below, we set the second method of information recovery (recovering lost files). The scratch disk has been selected, now we need to indicate to the software product the scanning options that are best suited for our case.

The window for selecting settings for searching for deleted data contains two tabs. In them, the user will be able to indicate the type of search files and the range of disk scanning. We recommend that you do not change the analysis range of the virtual volume. To find the maximum number of deleted files, you should set the highest value in the "File Type" tab. This search method will allow the utility to find all files of various extensions ever deleted from the disk. However, you can choose to search for specific types of deleted files.

In fact, badcopy pro 4.10 is capable of working on any digital media. This list includes laser discs (CD/DVD), flash cards of various formats, USB flash drives, hard drives, floppy disks and much more. The program does not care why the information was lost. It will be able to recover files even after a virus attack.

Meanwhile, we have reached the finish line. We only have to go through the stage of searching, restoring and further saving these files to the computer’s hard drive. The next window will display the progress of the process of recovering deleted information. At the top of it, in real time, you can see some statistics, for example, the number of files found or the number of sectors read. After the scan is completed, you need to proceed to the final stage of file recovery.

The final segment includes saving the files found by the program. The only drawback of this utility is the lack of ability to restore deleted folders. On the other hand, we don’t need just any folders or directories, we need to find and restore specific files. All we have to do is save the data to the PC hard drive. We specify the folder to save our files and click “Next”. For the recovered files to work correctly, you will need to rename them correctly.

Congratulations, badcopy pro's work is now complete. By clicking the button located in the center of the window, program users will be able to open a directive (folder) with saved files. If Windows OS does not recognize the format of a file, then the file must be renamed. You can find out the extension using the tooltip that pops up when you hover your mouse over the file. After this testing, we came to the conclusion that every PC user should have the badcopy program. A wide range of system tools allows this utility to be one of the most successful solutions for recovering lost files.

Happy data recovery!

1) - BadCopy Pro (rapidgator.net).

Program developer: www.jufsoft.com

This is an easy-to-use utility that allows you to automatically recover information from various types of media: floppy disks, CDs and DVDs, including rewritable ones, ZIP, JAZZ and some others.

During the recovery process, various types of damage are processed. The likelihood of recovery depends on their nature. Transverse stripes are not as dangerous as longitudinal stripes. The drive itself plays a big role, so if recovery is not possible on your drive, try doing the same with someone you know.

The program can be obtained at http://www.jufsoft.com/badcopy/ . Its main window is divided into two parts (Fig. 4.5.4). In the window on the left, the media type is selected, and recovery options and files are indicated on the right. The work is implemented in the form of a step-by-step wizard. The first step is to select the media and information that will be restored. Then on the right in the area CD-ROM/CD-RW/DVD Drives List setting the switch indicates the drive, if there are several of them. Then into the field Recovery Mode select one of three recovery modes:

> Rescue Corrupted Files- if the disk is readable and the files are visible in Conductor Windows, use this mode;

> Rescue Lost Files Mode 1 and 2- if the disk is not visible to the operating system or the necessary files have been deleted from the media, then these two methods, which use different algorithms, should be used to restore the file.

Rice. 4.5.4. BadCopy Pro window

After selecting the mode, insert the disc into the device and press Next. The files on the disk will be searched and a list of them will be displayed in the next window. Mark the required files with the checkboxes. In field Recovery Option recovery mode is selected: Max Data, Normal or Max Speed. In most cases, the mode is suitable Normal, in which a certain balance is maintained between recovery speed and quality of work. If you are not satisfied with the result, select Max Data, which works a little slower, but gives a greater chance of recovering the file. However, on large files, working in this mode can take a long time. If the information is not critical, for example text files, you can set Max Speed, which will speed up the process somewhat.

After pressing the button Next The recovery procedure will begin. You can stop it at any time, just press the button Stop Recovery. To skip the current file, click Skip Current File. After ending in line Recovery Status information about each file is displayed. If there is a mark Recovered, then the file was saved completely. Otherwise, there will be a note indicating the percentage of losses.

Click Next- you will be able to preview files. Select file in Preview Recovered File(s) and press the button Preview. Preview is possible in text, hexadecimal and image form.

In field Select Destination Folder select the directory where you want to save the recovered files and click the button Next. In the unregistered version, the last step is blocked.

working with the IsoBuster program

IsoBuster program ( http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster.htm ) is designed to recover information from damaged CDs and DVDs. Files, tracks, tracks are extracted from damaged media - anything that may be of value.

When reading a disk, several error handling mechanisms are used, the best result is selected, and a search for all possible alternative paths and file systems is used. The CD remains readable even after an attempt to write more than the permitted amount of information onto it.

A large number of formats are supported:

> CD/CD-i, VCD, SVCD, CD-ROM, CD-ROM XA, CD-R, CD-RW;

> DVD/DVD-ROM, DVCD, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW;

> UDF of various versions: 1.02 (DVD), UDF 1.5 (batch recording to CD-R and CD-RW), UDF 2.01.

Using IsoBuster you can also create and read image files in formats created by various programs: DAO, TAO (Duplicator), ISO (Nero, BlindRead, Creator), BIN (CDRWin), IMG (CloneCD), CIF (Creator), FCD (Uncompressed), NRG (Nero), GCD (Prassi), PO1 (Toast), C2D (WinOnCD), CUE (CDRWin), PDI (Pinnacle), MDS and MDF (Alcohol 120%), CCD (CloneCD) and some others . The program interface has been translated into 41 languages, including Russian (Fig. 4.5.5).

The current version of the program, 2.3, works on computers running all versions of Windows - from 95 to Vista. It is distributed free of charge, but starting from version 1.0 for $20, it can be upgraded to the PRO version, in which full support for the UDF (Universal Disc Format) file system is unlocked, otherwise the files will be displayed and cannot be restored.

Rice. 4.5.5. IsoBuster main window

Two versions of the program are available for download. The first is multilingual, about 2.5 MB in a ZIP archive ( isobuster_all_lang.zip), the second one supports only the English interface. Support for the desired languages can be added by downloading the corresponding library, about 69 KB in size, the link to which can be found here.

File Russian.dll need to be copied to directory lang in the folder where the program is installed (by default C:\Program Files\Smart Projects\IsoBuster\Lang). Then run the menu command Options Language and select the desired language by checking the appropriate box. During installation of the program, you can specify which extensions to associate IsoBuster with: after double-clicking on such files, IsoBuster will be launched. This depends on the applications installed on your computer.

After startup, select the drive (if there are several) or open the image file using the command File Open Image file, after which IsoBuster will display a list of files and sessions that it was able to find and read. To extract the necessary data, in most cases you need to right-click on the selected folder or file and select the item from the menu Extract, in bold.

There are other options for extracting and running disk contents (see Figure 4.5.5). By selecting Execute or Extract and Execute, you can immediately open the selected file. If you are using VCD, SVCD and CD-i discs, the point may be useful Extract and filter only M2F2 mpeg frames.

Rice. 4.5.6. Message about an unreadable sector found

If the program finds unreadable sectors, the user will be presented with a message in which he can choose to skip a sector, replace the data with zeros or dummy data (Fig. 4.5.6). By default, the switch is set to Replace with zeros, which is suitable for most situations. To ensure that the program remembers your decision and does not ask you what to do when the next unreadable sector is found, check the box Always apply selection.

For sessions, in addition to the content, an image can be extracted, which is then analyzed for missing files.

Data recovery using IsoBuster is a simple process. Insert the damaged disc into the drive, press the button Update(if the program is already running) and wait until the search for tracks is completed. If the program has found everything it needs, extract the data. If something is still not found, right-click on the disk title in the left pane and select Scan: File System or Finding missing UDF files and folders.

When the search for lost files is complete, two new folders will appear in the disk tree: yellow - Lost and found in UDF, blue - Files found by their signature. The program operates in three stages: first it tries to find losses, following the usual slightly expanded path, then it goes through the entire surface in search of relevant data and then finally processes the result.

The icons show which files are guaranteed to be extracted, but if there is a cross next to the name, then its recovery can not be started. From my own experience, I can say that extracting such sectors can take overnight, but the speed largely depends on the drive used. If a rewritable CD has been partially erased, that is, there is information on the disc, and only the TOC (Table Of Contents) header containing the table of contents of the disc has been deleted (each session has its own TOC), you can thus try to recover the deleted data of the last sessions.

It's time to throw away your frequently used CD. To avoid this situation, you can check the readability of the surface by selecting Surface scanning that appears when you click on the drive icon and if you receive a message saying that There are no physical errors. Disc in good condition, then it can still serve.

The program has additional functions, however, most of them are aimed at specialists. So, after selecting the item Extract RAW data you will receive the information in raw form, that is, as it is recorded on the CD. In the same menu item View sectors allows you to view disk sectors in hexadecimal form; if necessary, you can save them to a file and print them. To get a list of files in the selected directory, you must select Folder tree and file information and specify the directory in which the text file with information will be saved.

Modern people can no longer imagine their life without a computer. The amount of information that we trust to our electronic friend is growing every day.

However, we should not forget that no one can absolutely guarantee the safety of the data on the computer. There are a great many reasons why they can be lost or damaged: carelessness and erroneous actions of users, hardware failures, sudden power outages, malware activity, unstable operation of the operating system, etc.

After losing data, many people fall into despair, believing that it is impossible to recover it. However, this is far from true; moreover, as practice shows, in most cases it is possible to restore lost information. The most important thing is not to panic: one of the most common mistakes is that users, having discovered the loss or corruption of data, begin to take a lot of rash actions, only thereby aggravating an already difficult situation.

Book:

One of the most popular programs designed to recover damaged files is BadCopy Pro. The product is shareware; A demo version of the program can be downloaded from the developer’s website www.jufsoft.com. A rar archive of about 0.9 MB is offered for download.

The advantages of the program include its wide functionality, as well as a large number of supported storage media: 3.5- and 5.25-inch floppy disks, CDs and DVDs, hard drives, etc. The disadvantages are the lack of a Russian-language interface. True, you can find and download a crack for this program on the Internet.

To install the program, run the installation file and follow the instructions of the installation wizard. If you want to Russify BadCopy Pro, then the Russifier should be installed in the same directory.

5.1.1. Purpose and functionality of BadCopy Pro

The BadCopy Pro program was invented and developed specifically for data recovery from various media. Moreover, in this case, it does not matter what kind of data it is: text documents, multimedia files, archives or something else: during the scanning process, the program detects damaged or deleted objects and tries to restore them, which in most cases is successful.

The program interface is simple, and the tools are convenient, so it will be easy for even inexperienced users to master the program.

It is worth noting that the program may not support all media: in particular, problems were noted when trying to recover data from laptop hard drives. But overall, the product is quite effective and therefore suitable for most users.

A characteristic feature of the program is that it does not have a configuration mechanism. On the one hand, this can be considered an advantage (no need to waste time setting up obscure parameters), on the other, a disadvantage (the program is difficult to adapt to the requirements of a specific user). All you need to do to get started is to specify the storage medium and define the range of actions (in other words, tell the program where and what needs to be restored).

5.1.2. Selecting a data source and recovery mode

To get started, run the program's executable file. As a result, its working window will be displayed on the screen, which is shown in Fig. 5.1.

Rice. 5.1. BadCopy Pro program

In the left part of this window, click the mouse to select the type of storage medium (floppy disk, hard disk, etc.). If a hard drive is selected, then in the right part of the window the name of a specific local drive is selected from the drop-down list. In addition, all other data recovery actions are performed on the right side of the interface.

After selecting the storage medium, you need to select from the drop-down list in the field Modes choose a recovery method:

Resurrection Damaged files– this method is designed to recover files that are visible in the Explorer window, but it is impossible to perform any actions on them.

– using this method, you can restore files that are both inaccessible and invisible.

– this method should be used in the most “severe” cases. It uses more complex algorithms, which increases the likelihood of a successful outcome.

In some cases, the recovery method Resurrection Lost Data Mode #1 may not be on the list. Note that if the mode is not suitable Resurrection Damaged files, then first it is recommended to use the method Resurrection Lost Data Mode #1, and only if it does not bring the desired result, try the method Resurrection Lost Data Mode #2.

Digital Media CF/SM/MMC, then the field Modes on the right side of the window will be missing. A checkbox will appear instead Only search and restore pictures and videos. If it is installed, during the search and data recovery process, BadCopy Pro will ignore all objects except pictures and video files.

If the information source is specified as Media and storage devices, then in the right part of the window you will need to select only the corresponding device.

Once the source of information has been selected and the method of data recovery has been specified, you can proceed to the next step by clicking the button on the right side of the window Further.

5.1.3. Recovering data from a floppy disk

Despite the fact that the floppy disk as a storage medium has almost become obsolete, and many modern computers do not even have disk drives (for example, laptops), important information may remain on it that needs to be transferred to a more modern medium. If the floppy disk is unreadable or the files on it are damaged, you will have to restore them, and BadCopy Pro can help with this.

To recover data from a floppy disk, insert it into the drive, launch BadCopy Pro and click on the icon on the left side of the window Floppy disks 3.5/5. Further actions depend on the selected recovery mode.

If the mode is selected Resurrection Damaged files, then after pressing the button Further The interface will open, which is shown in Fig. 5.2.

Rice. 5.2. Recovering damaged data on a floppy disk

In this window, use the switch Recovery options specify how the program should perform data recovery: at maximum speed (mode Maximum speed), maximum amount of recovered data (mode Maximum data) or in the usual way (mode Ordinary, which is offered by default).

The contents of the floppy disk are shown above the switch. The files that need to be recovered should be selected by checking the appropriate boxes. Note that you will not be able to select a folder: you can only open it, and in the open folder you need to indicate the files to be restored with checkboxes.

The recovery process will begin Further. If everything went well, then after the restoration is complete, a corresponding information message will be displayed on the screen (Fig. 5.3).

Rice. 5.3. Restore success message

After clicking the button in this window OK The program interface will take the form as shown in Fig. 5.4.

Rice. 5.4. Information about recovered files

Here is a list of restored objects. For each list item, the corresponding columns display the file name, its size, as well as the state after recovery (if the process completed successfully, the value will be displayed Restored). After clicking the button in this window Further the program will move to the next stage (Fig. 5.5).

Rice. 5.5. Recovery protocol

At the top of this window in the field Recovery protocol contains a list of recovered objects. You can view the contents of any of them. To do this, select it in the list with a mouse click and click the button below Preview. As a result, a browser window built into the program will open on the screen, which will display the contents of the recovered file (Fig. 5.6).

Rice. 5.6. Viewing the recovered file

This feature allows you to determine whether the restored object is really that important and whether it needs to be preserved. If so, click the button in this window Close, then in the protocol window (see Fig. 5.5) click the button Review and in the window that opens, specify the path to save. Note that by default the program offers to save recovered objects to the folder Recovered, located in the program directory.

...

Note. In the demo version of the program, the ability to save recovered data is disabled.

If the mode was selected for data recovery, then after pressing the button Further the window shown in Fig. will be displayed. 5.7.

Rice. 5.7. Scan disk

To have the program check the contents of the floppy disk for files and folders, click the button Scan located in the upper right corner of the window. After that in the field Tree of folders and files A list of detected objects will be displayed. To restore, select the appropriate checkboxes for the required objects and click the button Restore. Using the button Preview You can preview the contents of the file (before clicking the button, select it with a mouse click). If the scanning process failed to detect objects, the program will display a corresponding information message (Fig. 5.8).

Rice. 5.8. Scan failure message

In this case, you will have to resort to the mode. Since this mode works the same as when recovering data from CDs, we will introduce it in the next section.

5.1.4. Data recovery from CDs

The CD is currently the most popular removable storage medium. Therefore, damage to it or the data stored on it is always especially unpleasant.

To recover data from a CD, in the left side of the BadCopy Pro start window, you need to click the icon CD-ROM CD-R/DVD. Since modes Resurrection Damaged files And Resurrection Lost data – mode #1 function in the same way as when restoring data from a floppy disk, we will not dwell on them here, and will consider only the last of the available modes - Resurrection Lost data – mode #2.

After selecting this mode and pressing the button Further The window shown in Fig. 1 will appear on the screen. 5.9.

Rice. 5.9. Preparing to recover lost data

In this window you need to click the button Launch to start scanning the disc (don't forget to insert it into the CD drive first) to check the contents. In this case, a window for setting scanning parameters will appear on the screen, which is shown in Fig. 5.10.

Rice. 5.10. Configuring Scan Settings Tab Range

As you can see in the figure, this window consists of two tabs: Range And File types. Each of them contains parameters of the same type in purpose and functionality. Let's look at the contents of both tabs.

On the tab Range(see Fig. 5.10) the scanning range is indicated. If you need to scan the entire disk, then set the switch to Full Scan(this value is suggested to be used by default). To fine-tune the scanning range (this saves time in cases where you know exactly what range on the disk the data you are interested in is located), set the switch to Tune. This will make them available for editing. Track No., From the sector And By sector.

In field Track No. From the drop-down list you can select the track number that the program should scan. Regarding fields From the sector And By sector, then you can specify the range of sectors that need to be checked. By default, the program suggests scanning all sectors of the disk, but you can edit these values using the keyboard.

Tab content File types shown in Fig. 5.11.

Rice. 5.11. Selecting File Types

On this tab you can specify the types of files that the program should detect during the scanning process. If the switch is set to Search all supported files(this value is offered by default), then the program will search for everything. When selecting a value Search for selected file types The field below becomes available, which contains a list of file types supported by the program. In this field, by checking the appropriate boxes, you can specify the types of files that need to be found (all other file types will be ignored during the scanning process). For example, if you are only interested in Word files, then check the boxes DOC And RTF, if you need to find archives, mark the positions ZIP And RAR, etc. Selective scanning mode saves time, especially if the disk contains a lot of different information.

Using the button Choose all you can quickly mark all items in the list, and the button Remove everything is designed to quickly clear all checkboxes. To perform an inversion (that is, quickly select all unchecked boxes, and uncheck all checked ones), click the button Invert.

After clicking the button in this window OK The program will begin scanning the CD. During the scanning process, the screen will constantly display information about how it is proceeding (Fig. 5.12).

Rice. 5.12. Scan progress information

If you need to stop scanning ahead of schedule (for example, you see that the objects you are interested in have already been found), then click the button in this window Stop. Upon completion of the scan and after clicking the Next button, the program will proceed to the next stage of recovery (Fig. 5.13.).

Rice. 5.13. Recovery protocol

In this window you can view all files detected during the scanning process by selecting them with a mouse click and pressing the button Preview. Using the button Review You can specify the directory in which the program will place the recovered objects.

5.1.5. Recovering data from hard drives and other devices

As we noted earlier, the BadCopy Pro program can recover data from various media, including hard drives, memory devices, etc.

Starting from this day, I will tell you about programs for recovering files on various storage media. Today we’ll talk about the famous resuscitator BadCopy, which specializes in restoring damaged files from removable media(SD cards, flash drives, CDs and DVDs).

You will learn what to do if the SD card is damaged or the computer does not see the SD card. The text review is accompanied by a guide on how to use the program to recover lost data on a flash drive, SD card, CD/DVD disks. Go!

System requirements to run BadCopy Pro

It should be noted that the program under review has not been updated for a long time. Latest version at the moment BadCopy- 4.10 . The distribution size is only 869 KB. For a resuscitator this is a very small size.

As for the Russian version of the BadCopy program, you will not find it on the official website of the developers. However, the localized edition is available for download on rutracker.org (search by name Portable BadCopy Pro 4.10.1215 Rus).

All editions of Windows are supported, from the ancient Microsoft Windows 98-2000 to the more modern XP/2003/Vista/7/8. In general, the program under test was tested under Windows 10, where it works quite correctly and does not “crash” upon startup, while scanning a flash drive or restoring damaged files.

BadCopyPro single-user license costs US$39.50. The program can be found completely free of charge on torrent trackers; the trial version (free trial mode) works for 30 days. It has a limitation: recovered damaged files cannot be saved, there is only a preview.

Previewing files on a Sandisk flash drive

To understand how BadCopyPro works and how it can recover damaged data on a particular medium, let’s just go through the sections of the program. Along the way, I will explain what this or that option is responsible for.

Available modes for recovering damaged files

  • Rescue Corrupted Files Mode. This resuscitation method can be recommended if the damaged disk is accessible in Explorer.
  • Recovering damaged files, modes 1 and 2 (Mode #1 and Mode #2). This option should be selected if the damaged disk is not detected in Windows or, for example, the disk requires formatting, or the files are for some reason unavailable after deletion.
  • Differences between recovery methods and Mode #1 and Mode #2. Modes 1 and 2 use different modes for recovering damaged data and accessing information. If the first method does not help, be sure to check the second. And vice versa.

Floppy Disk

Of course, nowadays only crazy people use floppy disks. However, if you suddenly need to recover files on this outdated storage medium, then BadCopy 4.10 is one of the few programs that will help with this.

Recovering damaged files on CD and DVD

We have already mentioned BadCopy Pro 4.10 more than once when we touched on the topic of data recovery from disks (CD and DVD, DVD+R, DVD+RW and other varieties). In what cases does BadCopy make sense to use?

  • Recovering damaged information from CD/DVD
  • Access and recovery of bad disk sectors if the CD-ROM or DVD drive refuses to read information
  • Saving extracted information from a damaged memory card
  • Allows you to bypass errors of poorly recorded discs and restore the resulting files. For example, if the disc was burned using Ahead Nero in a hurry, you can try to work around these errors
  • Brings corrupted files or unreadable data back to life
  • It is possible to use the session selector to obtain data from multisession disks
  • Supports recovery of media that was burned using disc burning software Nero Burning Rom or FileCD, UltraISO, Roxio Easy CD Creator or other disc burning applications

Other Storage Data Recovery

It should be noted that the specificity of BadCopy is working with removable storage media. If we talk about traditional hard drive recovery, the application does not have built-in capabilities for working with the hard drive.

Therefore, if you need to recover information on the HDD (as a result of deletion by other applications, viruses, due to network outages, etc.), you can use other applications for recovering deleted files from the hard drive, which we recommend on the site.

Working with multimedia information and restoring it

According to the developers, BadCopy Pro is a top application that specializes in recovering photos deleted by all sorts of methods, ranging from barbaric to simple human error.

In fact, besides BadCopy, there are many other programs for recovering deleted photos. However, in addition to photos, the BadCopy application has the ability to return other types of multimedia files - pictures, videos, music, any information from digital and video cameras, sandisk flash drives.

BadCopy 4.10 also has one more outstanding feature - it is a unique SmartScan technology (translated as “smart scanning”). Thanks to it, you can try to recover hopelessly deleted information that was not found by other resuscitators. Such situations include:

  • accidental deletion
  • disk formatting (intentional or accidental)
  • damage to the information source
  • Windows error recovery

Overall, SmartScan definitely improves the chances of finding information that was not recovered by traditional methods.

What types of media can be recovered using BadCopy?

Although the BadCopy PRO 4.10 utility is compact in size, it works great in all kinds of removable storage media, on which important information is often lost. These include: all types of memory cards, including compact flash cards, Sandisk flash drive recovery, smart media cards, SD cards, MMC cards, XD cards, Microdrive, Sony Memory Stick, removable disks, including zip, CD/DVD storage media.

What file formats can BadCopy recover?

There is no threat to using BadCopy. However, it is important to understand that this tool must be in capable hands. You must know what you are doing, in which folder you are saving the files. As you know, when restoring, it is a good idea to save the recovered information on the disk from which the files were actually scanned and restored, since there is a high chance of overwriting the files to the place where the files were previously located. That is, you can deliberately ruin the quality of the recovered data.

What to do if the flash drive or SD card is not detected, that is, the computer does not see the SD card?

If the SD card is not detected, you should get a card reader where you can directly insert an SD card or another type of card and then connect this device via USB to the computer. The card reader is inexpensive (within 10 USD) and works like a clock.
